Mt. Dhaulagiri Trek
Mt. Dhaulagiri in central Nepal is the worlds eight highest peak and along with Annapurna I, stands over the Kaligandakhi River as it flows between these two giant peaks to from the deepest river valley on earth.

This superb but difficult Dhaulagiri round trek allows you to discover Dhaulagiri ( 8167 mtr ), or White Mountain, one of the most western Nepal's beautiful Himalaya. There is a long, difficult trek around Dhaulagiri that starts form the sub-tropical forests of the Myagdi valley. Follow the Myagdi khola west wards to Darbang and turn north on a tiny trail that leads through forests into the high remote passes and glaciers of Dhaulagiri before reaching the Kali Gandaki Valley. Much of the route is on snow and glaciers as it crosses French Pass (5240 m), traverse the head of Hidden Valley, and crosses 5155 mtr Dhumpus Pass. The trek ends with a steep descent to Marpha and a return to Pokhara, either via the Kali Gandaki or over the Ghorapani ridge for a panoramic view of the entire Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Massif. For Dhulagiri trek two routes are suggested for the return: Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Birethanti (total 26 days) or Tatopani-Beni- Baglung (22 days). A shorter optional (18 days) is possible with a return flight from the Jomsom to Pokhara or Kathmandu. Because of the high altitude, this trek is recommended for trekkers with some physical training. The trekking include Dhaulagiri Base Camp, French Col., Hidden Valley, Thapa Pass, Dampus Pass, Kali Gandaki, Marpha, Kalopani, Tatopani, Ghorepani, Nayapul, Pokhara.
